Labor Day TEA Party Scheduled

Radio talk show host Herman Cain will be the guest speaker for a Labor Day TEA Party at Clinton Nature Preserve.

A TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party will be held here on Labor Day, another of a series of similar events held across the nation in recent months protesting government spending.

The event will be held at Clinton Nature Preserve from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 7.

Keynote speaker will be Herman Cain, a popular evening talk show host on WSB radio’s “The Herman Cain Show” and a former candidate for the U. S. Senate. He is also a business commentator for Fox News and a columnist for World Net Daily.

Cain is the former chairman of the board for Godfather’s Pizza, past chairman and member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and former chairman and president of the Tax Leadership Council.

He serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Hallmark Cards, Whirlpool and Morehouse College.

The TEA Party will also feature a guest appearance by Joel Aaron of 920 WGKA “We The People Revolution.” There will also be musical inspiration and entertainment presented by the Douglas County Christian Community Orchestra under the direction of Jan Booth.

Clinton Nature Preserve is located on Ephesus Church Road one mile west of Post Road. The Post Road/Ephesus Church Road intersection is one-half mile south of the Post Road/I-20 intersection. Those who attend are asked to bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating.
